Utime, nine, stands beside a damaged water tank in Tanrake village on the Fenua Tapu islet, Nui atoll. Nui was affected by storm surges caused by Cyclone Pam in which 12 houses were completely destroyed and 110 homes badly damaged. 71 families (40% of the population) from Nui were displaced and were living in evacuation centres or with other families. According to Tuvalu Prime Minister Enele Sopoaga estimated 45 percent of the nation's nearly 10,000 people were displaced.
