An industrial factory on the site of Tata's primary Nano Car factory in Sunand, Ahmedabad. The Tata Nano, which is the world's cheapest car, is due to go on sale in July 2009 and will cost 100,000 Rupees (1,366 GBP). The 'mother factory' in Sunand will begin producing between 250,000 and 300,000 cars per annum, with the capacity to expand its production to 500,000 in the coming years.
