Mama Agblatsu III (fourth from left), a Queen Mother in Bankoe, a traditional division of the town of Ho, at a weekly early morning meeting of her clan. The clan is an important part of the community's social fabric, and members meet weekly to discuss clan and family matters. After the main meeting, men and women break up into separate groups. The wearing of red signifies that the clan is in mourning - two of their number recently passed away, and funeral matters dominated the meeting.
