Discarded clothes beside the ruins of the Kenya Assemblies of God Pentacostal church near Eldoret, where at least 18 people were burnt alive during ethnic clashes after disputed elections. Following the announcement of the contested presidential election results on 30 December 2007, Kenya experienced its worst political crisis since independence. Over 1,000 people were killed and 300,000 were displaced in violence with inflammatory ethnic undertones.
