The damaged home of Vugar Aslanov (51) in the village of Ciraqli, which sat on the frontline between Azerbaijani and Armenian forces near Agdam for nearly 30 years. Aslanov's home was damaged when it was hit by shells fired by Armenian forces in the 2020 war between the two countries. The village is in the Lachin district of Azerbaijan but was occupied by Armenian forces in May 1992 during the First Nagorno Karabakh war. It was returned to Azerbaijan in 2020 as a result of the cease-fire agreement brokered by Moscow.
