Jose Alberto Garcia, 38, sits outside his unit at the Single-Family Transitional Shelters. He states: ''Because of what happened (the eruption), we rather not risk it. If something were to happen to the kids, it just, would be too hard. Yes, here we have to buy everything, but some of the other affected families that accepted homes in the La Dignidad housing complex give me odd jobs every once in a while so we can get by. I mow the lawn, clean whatever they need. Itís very hard here, but still, we try our best.''
