A photographer positions an elderly married couple in front of a floral backdrop at the Twilight Red wedding photography studio.  After over thirty years of marriage, couples have come to the studio to dress as brides and grooms and have their wedding photographs taken for a second time.  The politics of the cultural revolution during which they were married only permitted plain proletariat portraits and extravagant wedding studios such as the Twilight Red did not exist..
