Volunteer Kaisa-Wenche Vivisdatter watching British soldiers on a helicopter mission to transport firewood to a remote Norwegian cabin. The newly built Vouma cabin in Dividalen National Park is part of the Norwegian Trekking Association network. As a goodwill gesture and part of their Arctic training the Royal Navy use helicopters to fly firewood to the remote location.
In 2019 the Arctic exercise Clockwork passed 50 years of training in Norway, and now has a permanent base within the Norwegian Air Force base at Bardufoss.
845 Naval Air Squadron is a squadron of the Royal Navy's Fleet Air Arm. Part of the Commando Helicopter Force, it is a specialist amphibious unit operating the Leonardo Commando Merlin Mk3 helicopter and provides troop transport and load lifting support to 3 Commando Brigade Royal Marines.
