A barricade erected by the 'Occupy Central ' movement which is organising events of civil disobedience to protest against the Chinese government's electoral policy for Hong Kong. The umbrella has come to be the symbol of Hong Kong's anti government protests. Hong Kong was supposed to be having direct elections for the post of chief executive by 2017 but the government in Beijing has said that the election will only be from a list of pre-approved candidates.
