An abandoned construction site in Sesena. The development was financed by multi-millionaire Francisco Hernando, whose other development in Sesena is one of the largest private developments in the history of Spain. Costing over 9 billion Euros and with over 13,000 houses built by the company Onde 2000, the complex is more than half empty, with very few people living there. This development however has been abandoned. Over the past decade, housing prices in Spain have tripled. But now the housing bubble has burst, leaving home developers and buyers at a standstill.
