Geuati Lutelu, 60, and his wife Elipope, 54, from Nui Island, sit in front of the remains of their house that was completely destroyed by Cyclone Pam in March 2015. Geuati says: 'Everything was destroyed, we couldn't find anything, we took only two suitcases before the cyclone came and then we took shelter. We've seen 2-3 metre high waves, but still hoped that our house would be fine. Next day when we came to see it, we were shocked. My kids left Nui and live now in Funafuti. There is nothing left for them. I'm afraid to build a new house, because one day it can be destroyed by waves again.'
