An employee works behind two screens at the headquarters of Glencore, the world's largest commodities trader. Glencore is Switzerland's largest company, based in Zug Canton which offers very low corporation tax. The company had a turnover of US $ 145 billion in 2010 and recently partially floated on the stock exchange. The group controls 60 % of the zinc market, 50 % of the trade in copper, 45 % of lead, a third of traded aluminium and thermal coal, 3% of the world's oil and 9% of its grain with nearly 60,000 staff in 40 countries.
