14 year old Jessica, who lives with her family in one of Manilla's largest cemeteries, sleeps on her brother's tomb that is incorporated into the family home. He was killed by a car as he made his way home after finishing work. Her parents are caretakers at the cemetery, and although they live without access to clean water or electricity, and under the threat of eviction, they prefer to live there because it is clean and far from the crime-ridden slums.
