The siege of COSATU House, headquarters of the Congress of South African Trade Unions, in the apartheid era. Police surrounded the building during a day of tense standoffs with railway workers during the SARWU strike. Later in the evening they entered the building, holding all the tenants 'hostage' as they searched room by room.
