Sergey Rozanov (born 1925) , a Russian veteran of World War II (WW2).."I was so pleased with those new boots! I had walked from Russia to Hungary in my old boots and they were completely worn out. My comrades bought new ones for me at a leather factory near Lake Balaton. While I was trying them on, a shell landed on the house where we were. Three comrades were killed and a piece of shrapnel went through my new leather boots. Oh, I was so upset."."My foot was slightly injured and I was admitted to hospital. I was given hospital clothes and I never saw my new boots again. I remember exactly what they looked like: beautiful shiny black leather. Real craftsmanship.".. CHECK with MRM/FNA
