Comrade Duch (real name Kaing Guek Eav) confesses to mass murder. As chief executioner of the Khmer Rouge when they were in power he was responsible for the S-21 detention centre at Tuol Sleng, where over 16,000 people were killed between 1975 and 1979. Photographer Nic Dunlop unearthed Duch working with the American Refugee Committee in 1999. He is currently awaiting trial.
