A group of riders leaving the starting point in Rena. The interest for mountain bike races has exploded in Norway the last few years, particularly with middle age affluent men. The biggest is called Birkebeinerrittet, or Birken, a race of 94,6 km and 14.500 participants, and was fully booked in 41 seconds. This years race proved to be hardest ever with constant rain and low temperatures.
