Members of the North Belfast battalion of the Ulster Defence Association (UDA) prepare to raise the symbolic Union Jack flag at the Tiger's Bay estate for the Remembrance Sunday service in 2011. This yearly gathering brings together the current active members of the organisation and those who have stepped down. All gather to pay respects to friends and family lost through acts of violence during 'The Troubles', a period of intercommunal violence and strife which lasted for approximately 3 decades from the 1960s to 1998, when the Good Friday Agreement ended outright hostilities.
