Mfukidi-Augustin, 91 years: 'I'm the only Catholic in a family full of Protestants. In the twenties, my parents were under the spell of Simon Kimbangu, a preacher in a church in our region which was formed by British Protestants. My older brother had a hump, but he was miraculously healed by Kimbangu. The Belgians were not of our faith. We followers were persecuted, displaced and exiled. As the youngest of our family, I was forced into Catholicism and baptized. They sent me to the Catholic mission at Tumba, while all my brothers and sisters secretly continued following Kimbangu.'
