When Cyclone Nargis hit the Irrawaddy Delta on 02/05/2008, all 22 year old Ei Zar took with her were these blankets. "I love these blankets. I've had them since I was a child. While the wind was blowing strong outside, I was busy wrapping them in plastic sheets. I was so upset they got wet in the rain. They are fine now," she adds smiling. Zar, along with other refugees from the 7th ward, Hlaingthaya township in Rangoon (Yangon), stays in the Shwe Than Lwin shopping complex, which is under construction and has acted as a small refugee centre.
