Haji Matar, a local Korengali tribal elder from a hostile village close to Restrepo Firebase in the restive Korengal Valley. He came to Restrepo to complain that his shop was damaged in the previous day's firefight when Taliban fired 10 RPGs at Restrepo causing them to respond. US soldiers suspect that he supports fighters in the village although he denies it and pledges his support to the US soldiers. Restrepo, a remote outpost, is known as one of the most violent places in Afghanistan. Located in the Korengal Valley it comes under fire on a daily basis from Anti-Afghan Forces in the local villages and mountains.
