Khan Bacha, from Assadabad, an Afghan worker on the US Army Korengal Outpost is helped after being wounded by a mortar and grenade attack on the base in the restive Korengal Valley. Khan was treated for shrapnel wounds to his leg, back, shoulder and face on the base by US Army medics and was then medevaced to a US Army hospital in Jalalabad for further treatment.
