Bangladesh is the temporary home to 36,000 Muslims who have fled human - rights abuses and religious persecution in Burma. Dum Dum Mea is home to some 10,000 Rohingyas who live in some of the worst conditions of any refugees in the world.  Bangladesh, like Thailand, is not a signatory to the 1951 Refugee Convention and these people are labelled 'illegal immigrants' despite the fact that they are among the most persecuted of Burma's peoples. /Felix Features
