A man leads his horse across a rocky valley during a hunt with eagles. Eagle hunting is believed to originate in Central Asia some 6000 years ago and is generally a winter sport, as that is when the prey has grown its sought after winter pelt. The birds are Golden Eagles and weigh up to seven kilos with a wingspan in excess of two metres.
