Petrol for sale at a road side stall in the resort of Seminyak, where it is sold in Absolut Vodka bottles. The roadside stalls sell the petrol for 7,000 Indonesian Rupiah a litre (75 US cents). Protests were sparked when the Indonesian government raised the price of their subsidised petrol by nearly 30 percent in May 2008, on the back of escalating global oil prices.
