Controversial poster for a national referendum, brought about by a right wing political party, calling for a ban on the construction of minarets in Switzerland. Muslims represent 5% of the resident population, and at present there are only four minarets in the country, as they are already subject to local planning restrictions. The poster, with minarets illustrated like missiles piercing the Swiss flag, and a threatening silhouette of a woman in a black burka, was banned in several cantons, but not in Zurich, as seen here in the main railway station.
