Zahid, an 11 year old boy who broke his leg falling out of a palm tree, is treated at the Shapla hospital; a floating clinic for island residents in the delta region of southern Bangladesh. It is run by the Dutch NGO Terre des Hommes. On board there is a basic operation theatre, consultation rooms, x-ray machine, laboratory and pharmacy. There are also mobile medical teams on motorcycles to provide health services to the local community.
