Government rangers use elephants to help patrol the Leuser and Ulu Masen forests on the island of Sumatra. The 3.3 million hectare area in the northern part of Aceh province, is the largest contiguous forested area in South East Asia and is a rich provider of environmental and economic benefits for the two million people living in Aceh.
