Parishioners leave Yanji Church following a Sunday service. In the past the church, the biggest in town, has been fined by Chinese officials for harbouring North Korean defectors. The city of Yanji is close to the Tumen River which forms the border with North Korea and is known for its large ethnic Korean Chinese population. It also supports clandestine networks for North Korean defectors as well as legal and illegal cross border trading. /Felix Features
