Twenty five year old Edwige checks a plant from her crop planted on a wide swath of land at the edge of Mole camp for Central African refugees. Edwige escaped across the border from CAR to DRC after her fiance and son were killed in early 2013. Despite this unimaginable loss, she has devoted herself to helping others, and healing herself. An English teacher, primary school teacher, health centre liaison officer, SGBV focal point, RFI and capoiera club member, Edwige is also secretary general of the women's association and president of the association for malnourished children.
