Red Cross workers removing burned bodies from the wreckage of the Kenya Assemblies of God Pentecostal church, a day after it was torched by an angry mob. At least 30 Kikuyu people, many of them children, were killed when members of the Kalenjin tribe attached the church where they had taken refuge. Unrest and ethnic violence followed protests against disputed election results. President Mwai Kibaki, a Kikuyu, was suspected of rigging the vote to retain power.
