Refugees from Swat district carry goods received from the Red Cross/Red Crescent (ICRC) to their tents at the Swabi Refugee camp. The camp is run by Red Cross/Red Crescent (ICRC), and currently houses around 18,000 refugees. The Pakistani government began an offensive against the Taliban in the Swat Valley in April 2009, which led to a major humanitarian crisis. Up to two million civilians were estimated to have been displaced by the fighting.
