35 year old Selamat smokes on the shore of Sembuluh Lake. The fisherman is one of the many who claim to be affected by the introduction of palm oil companies in the area. They cite the excessive use of fertilisers as the main reason for the dwindling number of fish in the lake. Some locals also complain of rashes after bathing in the waters.
