Chinese workers sewing during their shift at the Wear Company factory. Due to the shortage of skilled local workers, who often seek employment overseas, Wear Company recruits many Chinese employees. The textile business, which makes sportswear for well-known brands such as Benetton, Decathlon and Prada, is planning to increase the number of Chinese workers in their employment from 250 to about 1000. Each Chinese worker receives about 300 US dollars a month, as opposed to about the average 70 US dollars that they would earn at home.
