A child looks out from a house in the town of Shabunda which has been heavily hot my militia attacks. Displaced families are now living within host communities and share the already over-stretched or hardly existing public facilities for health, water, food and safety. The Congolese Army is poorly paid and ill disciplined resulting in high insecurity in the area due to the roaming militias.
