On the 1050 anniversary of the Polish adoption of Catholicism (the Baptism of Poland), a man dressed in medieval-style armour, stands during a ceremonial baptising of the Mieszko and Dobrawa bell, cast for the occassion, on the island of Ostrow Lednicki, where the first Polish Catholic church once stood.
