A taxidriver is filling his Padmini taxicab with natural gas at a gas station. In 2002 all diesel engine taxis in Mumbai had either to be phased out or converted to compressed natual gas (CNG) or liquefied petroleum gas (LPG). With over 50,000 cabs in Mumbai, this measure has improved the air quality in the city.
