Elephant tusks confiscated by park rangers, carefully stored in a safe room at the park head quarters. Limpopo National Park is connected to the famous Kruger Park in South Africa. Elephants, rhinos and other wild life animals can cross the border without a problem, but so can poachers. Since the opening of the border fence poaching has become a major problem in both parks since park managements, national anti-poaching laws and conservation efforts are not synchronized between the two countries. Another reason for increase of poaching of especially elephants and rhinos is the huge demand of ivory and horn in the far east.
