Claudette (23), a survivor of the genocide with scars visible on her head, visiting the memorial to the victims. After the end of the genocide, a monument was built next to the church in Nyamata where in 1994 thousands of people were killed. Bones and skulls which were on display for some years are now washed, cleared away and some of them buried in special commemoration ceremonies.
