A view of Restrepo Firebase in the restive Korengal Valley. The patrol provided an overwatch for 1st Platoon who came under fire as they built a new observation post. Restrepo, a remote outpost, is known as one of the most violent places in Afghanistan. Located in the Korengal Valley it comes under fire on a daily basis from Anti-Afghan Forces in the local villages and mountains.
